Plitvice Lakes, Croatia - A Must Visit!
Recently I was lucky enough to be able to travel through Europe. While the trip to Europe definitely had it's ups and downs, one of the nicest places to visit was the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia.
Photos just cannot do this place justice! The views are absolutely breathtaking and I would definitely recommend visiting the park at least once in your lifetime.
There are waterfalls galore, plenty of rain forests to explore and you can easily spend an entire day walking through the national park. And that's just what I did. In fact, in total I ended up walking 25km (at least that's what my fitbit told me)
The only let down is there is no swimming allowed in the park. Not great when it's excruciatingly hot (38 degrees C for me) and the temptation to jump in is pretty high. If you are planning on going, maybe avoid visiting in the middle of summer. It will make the walk around much more bearable. Starting early in the morning also helps avoid the large crowds that form during the middle in the day, which can make getting around more difficult as walkways are quite narrow.
For someone who loves to be out in nature, this place is a must visit. You cannot beat the cleanliness and serenity that it has to offer.
