WHAT ARE HOT SPRINGS?
Thermal springs or hot springs are groundwater sources that are warmed up by volcanic activity or circulating through the rocks and after exposure to the surface has a temperature of at least 20 ° C. The water of thermal springs is rich in minerals. It contains sulfur, calcium, sodium, fluoride, sulphate and other salts, carbonic acid...

GEYSER
If due to the high temperature the water turns into steam and penetrates to the surface, a geyser is formed. Geyser is a source of hot water and steam in the form of fountains, which often reach a high altitude. Geysers are regularly linked to volcanic areas or post-volcanic phenomena.

They occur when the water reaches a great depth in the rocky earth and there, under the influence of high temperature, becomes a steam, which, due to increased pressure, penetrates the Earth's surface. Their name originates from a thermal springs in Iceland, Geysir, located west of Reykjavik. The most well-known geysers are located in Iceland, New Zealand and the United States.
