Fear or Freedom: The Choice is Yours

“We are generally afraid to become that which we can glimpse in our most perfect moments…We enjoy and even thrill to the godlike possibilities we see in ourselves… And yet we simultaneously shiver with weakness, awe, and fear before these very same possibilities.” — Abraham Maslow

Right now, we are living in an insane asylum. Truly remarkable events are unfolding all around the globe. People are being stretched to their absolute limits, and we are seeing very often the true nature of the inner core of many people as this massive quagmire unfolds.

Fear is a very useful tool for control. That is why many media organizations use psychological tactics designed to create intense feelings of fear, anger, and in extremely rare circumstances, happiness and bliss, in order to utilize this heightened emotional state. Fear makes people susceptible to all sorts of messaging and propaganda. It opens a door deep into the subconscious mind, where thoughts can be planted, even though they were not the original creation of the observer. This is propaganda 101. Shock a person’s mental capacity through an intense emotional trigger like fear, and the defenses of of that mental capacity are open for suggestion and subterfuge.

There seem to be many complex characteristics of different types of people in terms of how they think. In short, there are those that care what other people think of their ideas and creations, and there are those that don’t. The former act, more often than not, out of fear and anxiety, while the latter attempt to transcend their own self doubts and fears. In short, those living in fear tend to put other people down and speak negatively while those living in the mindset of freedom tend to accept other people’s ideas, even if they don’t agree with them. This is the true concept of free speech isn’t it? Allowing discussions across all areas to commence, debating them, even fiercely at times, but allowing them to be discussed none the less.

There is a monumental clash occuring right now between these two mindsets. It is of quite literally biblical proportions. Division has never been more clear: those living for freedom and those living from fear. Notice the linguistics in that statement. One is living for and one is living from. Living for freedom or from fear.

Of course these are extreme examples as each of us individually oscillates between states of fear and states of freedom. When we are in the state of fear we are at our worst behavior and when we are in the state of freedom we are at our best. Usually, some quasi state in between, affected by environment, mood, social pressures and other internal factors.

But some people historically have challenged this entire system of thought and chosen to live essentially their entire lives, or the most productive parts, out of total freedom:

Martin Luther King Jr.
Mahatma Ghandi
Buddha
Rama Krishna
Jesus
While it could be argued whether one or more of these people actually existed (a whole other topic), in their description they certainly spoke their freedom and did their absolute best not to impede others’. Even when the whole world was seemingly trying to take them out, and at least three on that list were taken out, they did not make it their life’s mission to shut other people down.

This is not the case with our current world situation. Media outlet A wants to silence and demonize media outlet B, and both of them want to silence alternative media outlet C, D…Z.

True conversation is dead. Censorship is at an all time high. Freedom is, for the time being, at an all time low. People across the world literally cannot travel and in many cases cannot leave their homes, arguably against their will. They are told this is for their own good and the good of the herd. This is always the story that is printed from those that live in fear. They fear other people’s opinions and ideas. That is why they seek to control others, even though it can be largely subconsciously how they do it.

It is one thing to attempt to influence others, as someone living through freedom would do. It is quite another thing entirely to attempt to violate and control them.

Many people are living out of fear for a number of reasons. The fear of a virus, which could or couldn’t be real depending on your system of thought. For some it is the fear of healthy people, or the “carrier” theory of asymptomatic people shedding a virus. Again, it is all about your state of mind.

Some people believe that they can be healthy by thought alone, some people believe that only modern drug-based medicine will help, while still others have more natural and traditional remedies. But you will see that only one of these groups is calling for other people to be silenced, because they live out of fear, whether they admit it or not. Living out of fear is not something that one must understand internally, the actions and thoughts show this, and someone that has trained their mind adequately (not completely, just partially even) can spot and smell this fear.

Those that are living, at least currently, for freedom, do not want people to have to be locked up in their house against their will. They do not want people that have their own ideas to be silenced, regardless of how much they agree with those ideas. The holistic practitioner, the medical doctor, the yogi, the shaman, the meditator, the essential oil healer…all have the right to put their individual ideas into practice.

They also believe that the person who thinks everything I just typed is complete quackery also has the right to that opinion, and they do not want to see the skeptic silenced, because that is how scientific and human progress in general happens.

This also includes the NAP or non aggression principle. It is a libertarian / anarchist idea. As long as what someone is doing is not violating the freewill of another person, then that action is acceptable.

This brings up quite the tricky scenario with what is happening now in this world. Many people believe that people should be staying home so they do not get a virus and spread it possibly to other people, especially those with underlying conditions. But that idea is not an indisputable fact, no matter how hard some person may argue that it is. If someone who appears totally healthy goes out into public, it is in my opinion their God given right to do so. It is also their constitutional right to travel unmolested throughout the entire country, but we are now seeing what overreaching governments think of that document through their actions recently.

Now, it is also the right of a person to say that the other person should stay home. That is their freedom of speech. This is the difference between living from fear and living for freedom. One group may actually create laws without the consent of the other person and then attempt to impede their right to travel by having armed government thugs harass, detain and even throw them into a cage against their will. This is not something that anyone living through freedom would ever do to anyone, unless again that person violated the NAP by lets say physically assaulting someone else.

Symptoms of living through freedom
So what are signs that you are, at least currently, living through freedom and not fear? Analyze your thoughts, and see if these are congruent:

The tendency not to care what other people think, as in not taking it personally and understanding that there may be more going on the other person’s life than meets the eye
Not attempting, in any way whatsoever, to control the actions of others, only to influence and allow them to make decisions for themselves
Seeking to give people more freedoms and not less, as long as they are not violating the NAP (of course there are exceptions; pedophiles, known serial killers, and other extreme outliers that have willingly shown they cannot be trusted not to violate NAP)
Feeling more empowered and attempting to empower others instead of putting them down
Generally feeling that you are going against the grain of most of society in many regards, but not letting that affect your efforts
Symptoms of Living From Fear
Living from fear is quite common and leaves usually very obvious evidence in its wake. This would include:

Constantly putting other people down and attempting to demonize them
Suffering from constant anxiety, which is itself fear of the future by its very nature
Attempting in any way, shape or form to silence someone else using authoritative means (this means blocking on social media is fine, that’s your right, but begging the government to censor someone is not)
Feeling that you have the dominant opinion in every matter, otherwise known as being close-minded. This is a very common trait of higher governmental officials and others in areas of self proclaimed “authority”
Attempting in any way, shape or form to physically interfere with someone and impede their natural rights to move, speak and pursue life freely. Obviously there are extreme exceptions, such as calling for the arrest of a known killer, pedophile, or someone that is habitually violating the NAP
Feeling constantly that you are not good enough and thus not fulfilling your potential in life, which can lead to anxiety, depression, disease and especially deep seeded regret.
Obviously we are again constantly shifting through different emotional states, although we should strive to remain in the position of love and freedom as often as possible. As they say, if you love something let it go. They do not say “if you love something, attempt to cage it and hold it hostage against its will and censor its speech”. Sometimes, especially due to the mainstream media which is built to capture attention through fear and hyperbole with nearly every event, we will shift immediately into states of fear and do things that we should later regret when we return to our source of love and freedom.

Fear is very contagious. One person is in a state of intense anger and fear, then they do something to someone else that creates a state of fear in that person, who then does the same. A person gets cut off in traffic, and the person who did it did so by accident. Then the person who was cutoff blares the horn and gives them the middle finger, causing panic and fear in the original person. Now the second person is infected and it may affect his actions throughout the day, which may impact someone else, and on and on.

This state of fear is habituated 24/7/365 by corporate and government owned media. Just look at how they have transformed a once free country in a matter of weeks, while simultaneously creating massive division and turning citizens on each other. The real question people should be asking is why? There is always a reason for massive propaganda events. It will usually not be disclosed publicly but can be found. Some find it, most don’t. Or nobody does, or sometimes everyone does, but its always there.

Understanding how to spot fear tactics is a great skill that can be learned. So can dealing with our own internal and deep seeded fears. This is all part of becoming emotionally aware. This is a valuable skill indeed.

So if we were to realize our freedom collectively, true, unadulterated freedom, we would see that our system is based on fear on a massive, nearly incalculable scale. It is a system that has managed to turn people living through freedom into the “bad guy”. Sort of like The Matrix movie plot.

The good news is that freedom is always available if you know where to look for it, and it is always found within. This is another reason why living through a freedom mentality will help you as well as encourage others, because they will sense that you are not trying to control them but just to help, in a day and age where the former is the order and the latter is the exception.
