"Excitotoxics - The Taste that Kills," is a great book about sugar substitutes and other additives that are put into our food.

May I ask you this, what and where do you get your fruits and vegetables? I'm in search of a good place to purchase. My wife and I are going to try and grow our own next season, but until then I'd like to have a few points of suggestion. Is Whole Foods or Trader Joe's places you'd point me too? I'm in the U.S. Not sure if you are.
