The pomalaca, also known as the "pink apple", pomarosa, water apple is a fruit that although in appearance it reminds us of an apple, in properties and characteristics it differs from the pomacea. Belonging to the myrtle family, it has a sweet and fresh taste although, in some cases, it can be tasteless and dry.

Vitamin A and C are effective against the development of tumors and cancer cells. Pomarrosa contains some active organic compounds that also help in the prevention of breast and prostate cancer. Therefore the addition of pink apple to daily diet effectively reduces the risk of cancer.

Control diabetes: An organic compound Jambosine, which is found in the rosewood, is found to be very effective against diabetes. It is an alkaloid that regulates the conversion of starch into sugar, controlling sugar levels in the body and helping people with reduced pancreas activity as in the case of diabetes. In addition a low glycemic index of rose helps apple in reducing sugar levels in what is beneficial for diabetics.

On the other hand, the seeds of the fruit are used to combat diarrhea, dysentery and colds. These same seeds serve against diabetes by being roasted and reduced to dust.

Healthy skin: Vitamin C is an antioxidant that keeps cells healthy by protecting cells and tissues from oxidative damage. Pomarrosa also protects it against bacteria and fungal infections to maintain healthy and beautiful skin. It makes gums and teeth strong and also maintains good eye health.

Increase immunity: Pomarrosa is a good immune stimulant attributed to a large amount of vitamins and minerals present in it. Vitamin C protects against microbial and body infections to increase effective immunity. Other essential nutrients such as iron and calcium keep the body healthy and strong protection against various infectious diseases.
