There is a lot of vomiting and feeling sick in these stories. You really are putting yourself through some punishment in that way.
Still, if you're getting to talk to aliens that's pretty cool. I kind of share your version of truth about the universe, though obviously I've got there a different way.
Yeah, that's why it's called a medicine. It's mostly about purging stuff (either physical or emotional) that no longer serves and making you whole again. If you just want to take drugs and get high, there's better options.

It's a bit of a different path to yours and probably substantially less interesting. Science, theory, probability and logic are my foundations. Studying things like the Drake Equation and Bostroms Trilemma and looking at the pace of our own species rapid development in the context of the age of our planet, solar system, galaxy etc and accepting that any other species out there would either be millions of years more advanced (incomprehensible to us) or they'd be amoebas.
