The charm of Lake Laut Tawar
Lake located in Central Aceh district is also often called the Lake Lut Tawar by the Gayo community. The lake has an area of 5,472 hectares with a length of about 17 kilometers and a width of 3 kilometers. The extent of which almost resembles the vast oceans, it would not be surprised if this lake was given the name of Lake Laut Tawar because the water in this lake is not salty but tasteless.
When tourists are in the lake, it will be presented a very wide lake phenomenon with rows of green hills that appear from a distance. If lucky tourists can find the fish in the dry season, because in the rainy season fish depik did not come to the surface. Around the lake are also often encountered some wild animals such as civet, forest cat, pangolin, hedgehog, gibbon, deer, and many more. Some of these animals are indeed protected and are not allowed to be hunted.
