A creative extravaganza unleashed on Steemit! / Nanomancer
I'm going to try something out and see how it turns out. The idea is, in a nutshell, that I provide the outline for a fictional world and a fictional character within that world, then we run an art competition to produce a rendering of that character.
Both the outline and the image will then be used to run a short story competition involving the world and character we've created.
If successful, i'll run additional art competitions for new characters, places and artifacts within the world and perhaps even for music. What would be amazing, though I wouldn't expect it to happen unless this plan matures, is for Steemians to start inventing characters and posting art and hopefully get rewarded by the community with post upvotes.....so there may be value in contributing outside of the competitions themselves.
At some point, if we are able to generate a body of work with enough substance, I'll run yet another competition for an outline of a longer form story, the winner will then write a more comprehensive tale and include some of the art.
If it goes off like a Steem Moonshot, then maybe we can turn it into a comic, animation or film? Big ideas, but a long way to go before that happens :)
So get your creative juices flowing, your mind unfettered, I hope you join me in creating something monumental out of nothing. Let's build a legend!

@benjojo Sounds like a great idea to get the community engaged in something truly creative. This is amazing. How often do we hear of other social media platforms engaging in such constructive, creative and positive activity - probably never!. I am sure that the idea will be a great success. I am no writer or artist but will watch it with interest.
