You can now create your own Mysterium VPN node with both OpenVPN and WireGuard protocols. You can deploy the node the same way as for OpenVPN (Docker image), but to start WG node, you need to execute these steps:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:wireguard/wireguard
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install wireguard
$ sudo docker run --cap-add NET_ADMIN --net host -v mysterium-node:/var/lib/mysterium-node --name myst --restart >always -d mysteriumnetwork/myst:0.5-rc --testnet service openvpn,wireguard --agreed-terms-and-conditions

Here in Mysterium Network, we found ourselves in this situation with OpenVPN integration into our Go code base. In this presentation one of Mysterium Network’s main contributors shared the long journey we took. We discussed the dragons we had to slay, the swamps we had to swim through and mountains we had to climb and what reward was waiting behind the rainbow.

Odyssey Hackathon - Deep Dive

Mysterium Network participated in the Odyssey Hackathon Deep Dive in Netherlands from February 5-8, 2019. This is was a preparation opportunity to participate in the future for the chance to win 200k€ for best performing teams, 20 partner consortias, and it is a great opportunity to accelerate your business in a Decentralized Incubation Program. Members of our project will be involved in the Odyssey Hackathon for KLM’s challenge. We will be finding the best use of Mysterium Network’s open source technology within the solution we will build for the challenge of safe communication of biometric data for KLM.
