Uyo city had a huge turn up of high dignitaries from all corners of the state and Nigeria as a whole as it marks her 2023 edition of the christmas carol festival today being 15th of December, 2023.


Before the event started

It's a festival of hymns and carols organized by the state government in the capital city of the state.

Members across the state from 90% denominations made up the choristers who performed at this year's edition of the carol festival.

Just like previous edition, thousands of people across the state and beyond including world renowned gospel musicians like Moses Bliss, Mercy Chinwo, Bobby Frica, Laeey Sax, Davasol, Solomon Moses, John Bassey and many more performed at the event.


The governor of Akwa Ibom state: His excellency pastor Umoh Eno

A standing ovation resonated the arena as the Distinguished governor of Akwaibom state mounted the stage to declare the event opened, the governor Umoh Eno who is the state governor of Akwa Ibom state encourage everyone to have a good time and also meditate on the reason for this occasion.

He assures everyone safety in the arena and further hint the audience of the great entertainment from the invited musicians.

Reminding the citizens of the outstanding work of the state including the payment of a 13th month (Enomber) salary to all civil servants of the state.

The night also witnessed performance of choirs from different denominations of the country at large.

Guests artists demonstrated beautiful performance which left audience cheering with loud voices.


Young music club performing

Young talents weren't left out!!! Music club consisting of mainly very young ones made a beautiful performance with their angelic voices filling the entire arena.

The audience were left in awe as they couldn't hide thier excitement.

The event also highlighted a 15mins drama presentation by another young talent group. The drama simply featured religious stories surrounding the season.

Speaking with the drama group leader Mr.Effiong Inyang, he stressed the importance of carrying young people along on such activities.

"When I first got the invitation to perform at this event, it was like a dream come true because I have been looking for this opportunity for the past 3 years but I wasn't given. I am glad that I could show my talent and also give the young ones a great space to also show their vibrant acting talent. I think it is a good idea to give this ones this opportunity, perhaps, the story of this drama could serve as a compass for them in terms of thier actions in life. May God bless Akwa Ibom state and our dear governor" -Effiong Inyang

It was party time!!!!
Music was played so that everyone in the audience could dance along. And the audience did justice to the music.

Mr.Edikan Umoh who has been a DJ for over 15years expressed his joy as he met some of the gospel singers for the first time after playing their songs for many years.

"I feel so excited to see some of this artist for the first time especially "Mosses Bliss". I love his music, his music communicate with my soul all the time. This is the best day of this event in the history of our state and I pray that it continue like this." - Mr.Edikan Umoh

The event highlighted, the interconnectedness of the global entertainment community, reinforcing the idea that talent knows no boundaries.

Food vendors were all ready to display what they had to sell. Assorted food, snacks, drinks were sold at the arena. The event was slatted to take place all night, so the night had just begun for some
