At the exhibition "Hunting and Fishing in Russia" held in early March, the first person I went to talk to at the stand was my old friend from Kaluga - Kirill Kozlov. In addition to a small replenishment of consumables (hooks, fasteners), which were on the stand of the company Ugra-Sport, an expert of which is Kirill, I wanted to know about his next fishing plans. I myself am the middle of April your season fishing with a spinning rod hardly tell, but Cyrus had already gathered since mid-March start check points in small rivers in Kaluga region.
So last weekend he and a friend got to one of the obscure and inaccessible rivers. As he told me, got with difficulties. Not only that planted the car in loose, but deep spring snow, so still on the same snow were about 5 kilometers to the site with open water. The journey is when you fall through a step above the knee into the snowdrifts, very physically exhausting. But hunting is more than bondage)). The guys finally made it to the promised land. And they were lucky that the river in this place is already freed from the ice cover. And could be otherwise, and then had to walk back the 5 miles, never scoring, never tackle...
The guys were planning to catch on jig baits. The goal was a pit at the turn of the river, where the current is fast at first, then over the pit calms down, and then again gaining strength. In past years at this place at Cyril caught all kinds of fish. So it happened on this trip. The guys caught a few pike, ASP and large bersh. Yes, and a good bream came to lure Kirill.

And most importantly, the guys had an action camera with them, and they managed to shoot a good story about their opening of the 2019 season...
