RE: Announcement: No More ChainBB Forums For My Hunting & Fishing

in #myhuntingfishing7 years ago

Thats Very unfortunate. I was really starting to like it. It gave me a way to choose the percentage on my upvote. I'm sure ll get that bar I read about in the Steemit FAQ soon. Thank you for the update.

No problem. The slider bar is a good tool.

I liked the forum a lot because it filtered all the posts with the specific tags you plug in to the forum settings.

You can also use busy.org and I am told you get a slider there as well. It may be worth checking out. I have signed in but never posted from there.

I will give it a look. I feel like having more platforms is key to getting stuff seen. I have also signed up to LBRY and I have been thinking about starting to post there. The only reason I haven't is because it cost crypto to post and when I signed up I had nothing.

You've probably checked out busy.org by now. I was just going to add that while the slider is available there, it still comes down to how much SP you have. Unfortunately, there's only so many ways to split it up, which now you're probably already aware. :)

Yes I have. The busy.org looks pretty solid. I'm trying it out on my next post. The one thing I am not a fan of is gives the normal "make a post" option and a "make a quick post" option I feel like that encourages half posts. I like at least a wi bit of detail.

Yeah, the quick post probably does encourage that. I'm wondering if they got that from Wordpress, since they have that option, too. The few times I've used busy to post I just go to the regular post page.

UXYeti is working on his own interface, SugarSteem, which he hopes to have done by summer, so that will be another option to check out. Not sure if his interface will have the slider available from the outset or not, but there's plenty of other things that I think will be worth trying. It seems like he's had quite a few influential Steemit users (like witnesses) involved in giving him critiques and input, so who knows. It might be better than Steemit and Busy.
