Okay, fuck this. There have already been six movies in the Child's Play series since the original in 1988. And, frankly, one was enough. Can't dolls just be soft happy things that babies and weirdo adults play with?

Nope. Guess not. Instead, we're getting Cult of Chucky, which is due out on October 3, and will definitely be scary as hell. It's written and directed by series creator Don Mancini, who made 2013's Curse of Chucky, which was actually pretty good despite being entirely unpleasant. Cult of Chucky also brings back Fiona Dourif as Nica from Curse of Chucky and Child's Play's Alex Vincent as Andy. As if shit weren't horrifying enough, this one takes place in an asylum, where the damn doctors are using A GODDAMN DOLL as a therapy tool.
