my 2018: A tour around my town: welcome to Teuku Umar's city (Meulaboh), Indonesia

Hi stemians..

This is for the #my2018 contest organized by @anomadsoul.
today I would like to introduce to all of you my hometown, the city that is known for peaceful living and friendly people that is Meulaboh City located in Aceh, Indonesia. Aceh is located at the northern tip of sumatra. So now, I will going to tour you around to this great our beloved city and what activities we are doing here.

I was born and raised by my family in this city. In this amazing city the people are friendly and kind. And there is also a lot of culture and history. The number of people in this city there are about 60000 inhabitants.

I do not know where to start, maybe I can tell you about the tourist attractions, activities and even how the culture in my city.
Meulaboh on December 24, 2004 had a very sad story, my town was hit by a tsunami. Thousands of people have died and lost their homes and since then we have been trying to rise from the very tragic thing. but after that incident we became stronger from day by day because everyone around the world helped us .. All got involved to help my city rise again.

And after 13 years passed my city has managed to rise again and become more beautiful every day

tourist attraction
There are many tourist attractions in meulaboh one of the iconic city of meulaboh is the monument of one of the national heroes namely teuku umar.

The beach is also an attraction for tourists who come to meulaboh

Meulaboh area is located in the westernmost part of Indonesia and has a wide coastal area.

The majority of people are Muslim and one of the places of worship (mosque) is also a tourist attraction for tourists who visit

There is a lot of culture in my city, and all of it is a hereditary culture of our ancestors. one of the cultures is the moment of marriage in which the couple must wear certain clothes and hold the event as a form of gratitude

People's habits in my city
In the morning the people of Meulaboh city do activities like society in general, that is working. In the afternoon they went to the market to buy some fish for dinner.

At night most of meulaboh people sit in a coffee shop or cafe. By the way, dont be suprised if you see many coffee shops in Aceh. Coffee shops are almost in every corner in my city.

Who doesnt know this drink,almost all people drink coffee. And even many people are addicted to coffee. Well aceh has typical coffee and is very tasty. Many tourist who come to Aceh just to taste Aceh coffee, then they never forget to buy some to be brought back to their hometown.

In the urban square is very rarely seen pedestrians because all people have a vehicle, they prefer to ride the vehicle because the weather in this city is very hot so it will feel tiring if walking.

and in my city there is the most iconic coffee, we call it kopi khop
