An introvert's way of receiving New Year's Eve, a true story.

Just after I thought Christmas was done, BAM!, here comes New year's eve and we’re expected to see people again, it is exhausting. Extroverts are living the dream, but by the time December 31 rolls around, I’d happily roll in a blanket, turn off my phone, and play games or read a book.

New Year's Eve only comes one night a year, I tell myself that I can pretend to be an extrovert for one night! but the transition between 31st December and 1st January can be really a nightmare for introverts, the pressure of the society to go out and celebrate is too much, so instead of going out in crowds, I decided to do what every introvert will do, stay away from crowds.

Instead of going out in crowds in the night, I decided to receive my new year, since the beginning of 31st itself. I already made up my plan to go to a place far far away, where people barely are seen haha. (P.S. Introverts are not shy also we don't hate people, introverts are hard-wired to crave solitude, desperately.)

The day started with nice family breakfast, me, my brother and mom, and after that I had to work, "A free lancer may or may not be free."- ancient proverb. After finishing my daily routine of working with clients, I decided to plan my new year's eve, with my "safe person" haha. (Every introvert has a friend who is titled as "safe person" around whom we can be totally open.)

So, we took an hour worth of drive to a place far far away from city, it's a village almost 30km away from where I live, the road is well done and is full of farms and fields, so refreshing. And then we finally came this this place, this is my favorite place, no public, no one ever occupies this seat, always empty! All for us, this is my "quiet place" where all my inspirations and ideas come to life.

I love this place, under tree shade, birds chirping, connected to nature, it is so peaceful and full of energy. I also took with me my diary of ideas, and we wrote down some goals and their approximate execution dates, that we were going to achieve in 2018. A few of them were done by this morning. After spending three hours there, we went for dinner together. Yes there were no fireworks or new year party and I know all this may not sound so exciting from society's point of view, but if you look through an introvert's perspective, this was one of the best ways to welcoming a new year.

Later that evening, I received a phone call from Australia, my friend has enrolled in crypto-studies and she was really excited about it and she is doing to teach me about that too!!! So 2018 is literally the year of crypto for me!! 2018 was welcomed in a productive way for me and I am really excited. And later that I had family dinner and then a long online gaming session with a friend and I was already asleep by midnight hahaha. Personally I don't like the idea of fireworks, they pollute too much. It's like "Yay we are happy, let's pollute the environment for entertainment" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
