My 2017: Achievements and Failures

2017 has come and almost gone and as it’s normal in every year of one’s life, they have been achievements and failures. In personal life, spiritual life and finances. That said I want to share my achievements and failure(s) of 2017 on steemit.

JUNE 2017 I FOUND STEEMIT

I will always look back to june 2017 as the month I made a very important achievement, that was finding steemit. I found steemit while browsing the web, I was doing a research and an article from steemit came up in my search on google, after reading through I saw this “Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.

If you enjoyed what you read here, create your account today and start earning FREE STEEM!” at the end of the article. i went on and asked a friend who has been earning online and knows about online earning programs and he confirmed he is on steemit, that it’s real and then guided me on the signing up process. Few days later I wrote my introductory post and earned $200 PLUS, wow! My first post earned a whales vote from  @hendrikdegrote. That payout went a long way. That was a great motivation for me and I consider joining steemit at that time and earning that as the my most achievement for the year.

I later on got to find out about other alt coins and have a few spread on my portfolio but steem/sbd would always be the first cryptocurrency I earned and that happened in 2017.

MY STEEMIT FAILURE AND DISSAPPOINTMENT

I joined steemit in june of this year, I boycotted facebook and spent all of my online time here on steemit. By july preparations for steemfest 2 was high,having been here for a while I got to understand that steemfest was like a convention for steemians and I really was eager and would so much have loved to attend. I couldn’t do that on my earnings so I entered every contest for steemfest 2 that I could find on steemit, they were contest by @aggroed, @joseph and @stellabella etc, I guess I wasn’t meant to attend steemfest this year as I didn’t win in any of the contest, I was dissappointed but in my dissappointment I had learnt a lot about this platform, it’s a social platform like no other, that steemit is a real community online and offline and that they are people really committed to the success of this platform.

I have has a very rewarding experience on steemit for the year 2017 and look forward to achieving a lot on and through steemit in the coming year.
