The hand movements of Elon Musk...

So Elon Musk has almost stolen the show during yesterdays inauguration as he made some quite not fortunate hand movements during his speech to fans. So, if you watched it, he first hit his chest, and then stretched his right hand upwards in a quite "Hitler" kind of way. I just read about it, and then I watched it myself, and I must admit, that I would have reacted myself watching it, even without reading the articles before.

But, now the witchhunt has started, also knowing that Elon Musk has often supported far right parties clearly speaking up against muslims and migrants flooding Europe and the USA. But, honestly, as I looked at the speech, I saw a man that was incredibly happy and just full of energy. He entered the stage like a rock star and he was waving with his hands in all directions. And in the midst of this, he did the movement that shows us a clear resemblence to Hitler.

Now, is this a problem? In a way, yes, because for many this is a really painful sign, and it brings forth memories that we don't really want to, and they also make people think about Hitler in the same sentence as they say Elon Musk, and that isn't very fortunate.

But I must also admit that Elon Musk is extremely smart, and I do give him the clear benefit of the doubt... he probably regrets the movement, but it was a simple movement full of joy, touching his heart and then heading towards the moon with his hand. And it had nothing at all to do with what Hitler was doing, it was just one of hundreds of hand movements he did within his 4 minutes speech. A man like Musk can say a lot, but he wouldn't destroy his own reputation on purpose with an unnecessary hand movement.
