Today's Tony Stark
Unless you live on a cloud, everyone has heard about the successful tech entrepreneur Elon Musk. From Tesla and Space X from The Boring Company to OpenAI, Musk’s ambition seems endless and he is one of the major leaders nowadays in technology development.
But how did Elon managed to be today’s Tony Stark?
Born in 1971 in Pretoria, South Africa, Elon’s family describes young Musk as an introvert thinker that instead of going to parties and having fun as a normal kid, he spends his time in the library going through books.
His interest in computers started at the young age of 12 when he created and sold a game called “Blastar” in $500. Still, Musk’s student life wasn’t easy as he was constantly bullied and he even ended up in the hospital once after being beaten by bullies.
Musk’s life changed a lot when he graduated from high school and moved to Canada where he stayed two years and then he finished his studies at the University of Pennsylvania taking home degrees in physics and economics. Shortly after Elon and his brother Kimbal started a company called Zip2 that would later be acquired by Compaq by $341 million. With his money from the sale, Musk started a new company called X.com which would later become PayPal.
When Musk earned $165 million after eBay acquired PayPal he decided to invest his money on a crazy plan to send mice to mars, but at the end, he decided to found his own company called SpaceX. After several failures, SpaceX managed to successfully take a rocket to orbit in 2015.
But Musk didn’t stop there, he also founded Tesla, an electric car company, came up with the idea of the company of Solar City. And even though he had several personal and financial difficulties during the 2008 financial crisis and almost went broke, he managed to save his companies and nowadays Musk’s life couldn’t be better. Musk represents a figure of a successful entrepreneur that actually is bringing cool stuff into the world and it seems that he is not getting out of amazing projects and ideas anytime soon.
