Whatsapp brought a new update that allows users to share their whatsapp status to Facebook. Is the integrity of Whatsapp still strong?

Well, I understand your concern @kwadjobonsu. I can see why you'd feel that the integrity of WhatsApp was faltering but what you have to know is that WhatsApp belongs to Facebook. Facebook Inc made the purchase sometime in February 2014. They also purchased Instagram some time before that. Knowing that, I can explain some things a bit easier. Most times when a company owns more than one app, they tend to make a bridge between them. They create a link between the similar things that both apps can do. If you use Instagram then you'll know that when you're about to upload a picture, you can also choose to upload it to Facebook at the same time. This is because the two apps are owned by the same company and are bridged that way. So if a new WhatsApp update is doing something like it, then I guess they're just trying to link the apps a bit more.
Don't be surprised if in a few years time, you see an update that allows you to send your WhatsApp status to Instagram too.
