My best advice to the victim would be to talk to someone. Never keep it bottled inside or it will implode someday.

Also, never blame yourself as it wasn't your fault for any reason.

If you can, try to put the ugly incident behind you and relearn to live and love life once again. It will get better when you take it one day at a time; it always does.
