    Highly possible. But not on earth I believe? The earth surface is just too "short" distance for light speed. Besides, there is 1 vital thing need to take care of, AIR, the atmosphere. Air, we can't see it, but we breathe it. When traveling at Mach 3, refer SR71 Blackbird, the machine piercing through AIR at speed of sound three times, AIR creates friction to the metal surface and heating up the whole plane.
