Our community consists of major talents and top-notch artistry. However, when original quality music is posted, too often the rest of our community misses the opportunity to experience the phenomenal creativity of these artists and musicians. So, I present to you an initiative that will encourage music fans to actively search for our own Steemit musical sensations.

STEEMIT MUSIC REVIEW is an opportunity for the Steemit community to support our own musicians, artists, and bands. The objective is to dig for the latest music created by Steemians, then to write a music review.

This accomplishes 4 key aspirations for 'Steemit Music Review':

1. Increasing the awareness and exposure of the latest songs.
2. Increasing appreciation for the brilliance of our community.
3. Increasing the support for the Steemit musical creatives with more potential fans or financially.
4. Increasing the weekly rewards for music review contributors.

1. Search for the latest songs produced/composed by Steemians.
2. Write a detailed review of the song.
   • Who's the artist(s)/musician(s)?
   • What are the characteristics of the song?
   • What is the song about?
   • Why do you an affinity for the song?
   • Which emotional responses do you get?
   • What's your critique?
   • Etcetera.
3. Embed the song in the post if possible. If not, include a link/source to the song.
4. If available, include a link to where we can purchase the song/album.

• Follow the instructions previously listed under "Mission".
• Upvote this post.
• Create a post with "Steemit Music Review" included in the title.
  • For example, "Steemit Music Review | Artist Name - Song Title".
• Include the tag, 'musicreview'.

Weekly rewards will be distributed to exemplary posts that are well-thought-out and edifying to the community.

Currently, the top 3 posts will be rewarded:
3 SBD, 5 Whaleshares, and 5 Hairshares each.

As the music review contributions increase, the reward pool will increase accordingly.

How NOT To Win Rewards

• A post with minimal words
  • For example, no video and a sentence that reads, "The song is snow cool, I got chills listening to it" -- the pun is ice, but the post will snot be accepted.
• Opting to disregard the rules.
• Plagiarism.
• Reviewing your own songs.

How To Search For Original Songs

• If you're a musician/artists, include the tag, 'originalmusic', when posting your own original music. That said, music review contributors can search for original music under the tag 'originalmusic'.
• Search on the Steemit Music Alliance Discords, under the Music Post Promotion section. New fresh music is posted daily.
• Search for the latest submissions on DSound (@dsound). Or even DTube (@dtube).
• Search the tag, 'music'. This method requires additional searching to ensure the selected song is indeed created by Steemians.
• Or perhaps you're following them already!
