Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm a man of not much wealth but taste. I've been around for 40 odds years...
Pleased to meet you, now you know my name. I hope that what's puzzling you will not be the nature of my game.
The above was adapted from, I am sure most of you would have picked up, a Rolling Stones song Sympathy for the devil. They are one of my favourite bands so thought i would go with a little music introduction.
I am the frontman for my band, which I will go into more about in future. Music is my passion and allows me to keep my sanity. I am also a Business Applications Technician in IT. Love life, socializing, partying and engaging with people. Love braai-ing, which is what we call in South Africa. Americans and Australians and I am sure some other countries know it as barbeque. I enjoy picking up my guitar and strumming whatever and coming up with a song. Have started with so many. However I find myself not completing 90% of these ideas. I love food and wine and beer tasting and being out in nature.
Cape Town is my adopted hometown which I love dearly as there are so many awesome people and places that one can visit and enjoy.
Saluton @jamesfalling welcome on board. There are a lot of musicians already around here and music lovers like me as well. Enjoj the journey.
I heard Capte Town is a place where you can no longer live safely.
@johano. That is true to a certain point. Yes. Crime is getting worse due to socio-economic factors. People with lower or no incomes are becoming desperate. However on the whole Cape Town is still beautiful and safe. You just have to be more alert and ascertain which areas to avoid and keep in groups and not be bravo by walking alone or exposing items in vehicles that could easily be snatched. The communities and policing are more vigilant to ensure that visitors from overseas and locals in their communities are as safe a possible. Hope that you may sometime visit South Africa and especially Cape Town. There is a great music scene with venues and bands exploding. Take care and thank you for the post
Thanks for your answer. I used to share for a year a house in UK with a nice couple from Cape Town, therefore my interest. If I could put every travel dream in place one life would be to short, however who knows... best wishes!
