Today, about five or six hours ago Alvaro Diaz premiered his new track LENTITO and I really need to talk about one of my favorite artists of the last year. Alvaro Diaz has become for me a vice that without lying I have listened to at least once a day so far this year. The production he manages is on another level, and it really makes me feel bad that he is so underrated, as he could easily be one of the best artists in the Latin American industry.

Hoy, aproximadamente hace unas cinco o seis horas Alvaro Díaz estrenó su nuevo tema LENTITO y realmente necesito hablar de unos de mis artistas favoritos del último año. Alvaro Díaz se volvió para mí un vicio que sin mentir he escuchado aunque sea una vez al día durante todo lo que va de año. La producción que maneja está a otro nivel, y realmente me hace sentir mal que sea tan infravalorado, ya que fácilmente podría ser uno de los mejores artistas en la industria latinoamericana.

A little less than a year ago, on October 28, 2021, Alvaro Diaz released his long awaited album Felicilandia, which for some was the best reggaeton album of the year. In fact, it was sold to the industry as a reinvention of reggaeton and upon listening to it I was very...disappointed. Because of the way they were selling it and because of songs like Llori Pari and Problemon I was expecting a reggaeton album from start to finish, but the truth is that Alvaro Diaz has much more to offer than that; with songs that are clearly influenced by artists like Frank Ocean and Kanye West, Felicilandia is an album that cannot be fully appreciated on the first listen, with changes in his rhythm that are far beyond what an artist at his age would expect.

Hace poco menos de un año, el 28 de octubre del 2021, Alvaro Díaz saca su tan esperado álbum Felicilandia, el que para algunos fue el mejor álbum de reggaetón del año. De hecho, se vendió entre la industria como una reinvención del reggaetón y al escucharlo quede muy…decepcionado. Por la forma en la que estaban vendiendo y por canción como Llori Pari y Problemon me estaba esperando un álbum de reggaetón de principio a fin, pero la verdad es que Alvaro Díaz tiene mucho más para ofrecer que eso; con canciones que son claramente influenciadas por artistas como Frank Ocean y Kanye West, Felicilandia es un álbum que no se puede apreciar por completo en la primera escuchada, con cambios en su ritmo que están muy por encima de lo que un artista a su edad.

Now, beyond the music Alvaro Diaz is a VERY complete artist, having a very particular style when it comes to dressing, which has made him to be invited to important fashion events and to be used for the advertisements of important brands such as Gucci. This gives another vision to the artist more than just being a musician, and beyond that, he is also sought after since all the people who work with the Puerto Rican agree with the idea that he is an incredible person full of ideas, humble and really amazing when it comes to work.

Ahora, más allá de la música Alvaro Díaz es un artista MUY completo, teniendo un estilo a la hora de vestirse muy particular, lo que ha hecho que lo inviten a eventos importantes de moda y que lo usen para las propagandas de marcas importantes como lo son Gucci. Esto le da otra visión al artista más que ser solo un músico, y mucho más allá de eso, también se le busca ya que todas las personas que trabajan con el puertorriqueño están de acuerdo con la idea de que es una persona increíble y llena de ideas, humilde y realmente increíble a la hora de trabajar.
