THINGS YOU PONDER AT NIGHT

Hello, warriors!

Last night, while I was about to sleep, I was urged to listen to this song. The room was dark and it was pouring heavily. I opened my phone and played the song "When God Ran". I don't know what got into me. I have heard this song before but most of the time I just skip it and listen to the next song on my playlist. That night was different.

These lines broke my heart and I stared to cry.

"He ran to me,
He took me in His arms,
Held my head to His chest,
Said "My son's come home again!"
Lifted my face,
Wiped the tears from my eyes,
With forgiveness in His voice He said
"Son, do you know I still love You?"

I saw Him running towards me with open arms. He has been waiting for me... For a long time. How great are you, Lord.

How can someone like HIM love a sinner like me? Indeed I do not deserve His love and mercy. Tears filled my pillow and my heart was just so heavy.

There's nothing else I could do that night. I asked forgiveness from the Lord. I regretted every little thing I've done that was unpleasing to His eyes.

How could I ever disappoint Him?
How could I hurt my Father?

He loves me too much that he gave His only Son to save us. We're so stupid to neglect that.

I cried and prayed intently asking God the Father to forgive me. I prayed and prayed.

I took my big deep breath then after that... I felt whole again. I don't know how did that happen but the burden in my heart just went away. I smiled. I know He has forgiven me.

From then on I am trying my best to be a good Christian, not because I want to impress others, but because I love the Lord. And I was sorry.

Just a realization that I wanted to share.

This song was composed by Benny Hester and since then, this song had touched the hearts of the Christians worldwide.
