🌟For the Music Lovers🌟 - My top 5 from the last two years!
Are my views swayed & genres too samey, or are these some of your favourites as well? Feel free to share your opinions in the comments!!
- Francis and the Lights, Bon Iver and Kanye West - "Friends"
What can I say? Not only was this one of my favourite releases in YEARS, but that music video?! It perfectly showcases the personalities of the three artists involved.
The song was written with ex-Vampire Weekend member Rostam Batmanglij, produced by Ariel Rechtshaid, Cashmere Cat, and others. - James Vincent McMorrow - "Get Low"
It's just so groovy! I loved this whole album, because I could really see the artist expanding his horizons, while he had been sticking to folk music for years before. Here it is! - James Blake - "Put that Away and Talk to Me"
I can't even explain how exited I was when this was released. It's just so original. Much like in his previous two albums, James has a talent for chiming dischordant qualities and making them sound beautiful. As NME put it: "He's like a probing journalist haunting and taunting his current state of lacking inspiration."
- Bon Iver - "715 - CR∑∑KS"
My favourite of them all. Out of sheer respect, I don't want to say anything about this one.
- Chance The Rapper - "Summer Friends"
Probably the most upbeat and happiest on my list, with backing vocals from my beloved Francis & The Lights! Enjoy!
Cool music.
