I'm privileged and honoured to know and be friends and work with, many great musicians, artists, people.But to write about them all in detail would take something much bigger and broader then music blog.Probably book would do. :) In a same time, I would not do this blog justice if I also do not make post like this.

Introducing to you Alen Sveto and Trinity Roy my dear friends, awesome artists, who were essential in my own and development of Ugochill Music. Will try to keep it short but also to say as much as I can.

We met beginning of the 1990s in Amsterdam.And right from the start we became friends and began with playing, hanging out together and quickly after we made one quite cool rock band, called Amsterdam Devils Jam.

Trinity Roy was singer and leader of the band.Alen Sveto was playing bass and I was playing guitar. We were one could say some sort of Amsterdam version of Chilli Peppers, not intentionally but simply naturally on stage we kind of had similar energy.We gave it a good shot, recorded CD, played everywhere we were welcomed and invited to play, including UK, France, Ireland.

As it happens with countless bands, we also had one zillion problems to deal with trying to brake through.In our case having stable drummer was one of those problems. But also towards end of 1990s, with digital music revolution, I had some sort of my own Sgt Pepper moment, where I got increasingly uninterested in playing live, being in bands. Rehearsing, travelling, socialising, and most of all being dependent on many things in which in the end you had very little say.

I just wanted to make records.Major bands make recordings so that they can tour.Indie, unsigned bands tour so that they can make a record.And suddenly I could make records in my own home, completely free to do whatever? Just like Mike Oldfield? Nothing else mattered to me much anymore after that realisation. :)

We stoped as a band, but we never stoped being friends or making music together.We just moved on and being equally hungry and passionate to make music and recordings.We recorded whole bunch of tracks.Mainly at my place but elsewhere as well.

Alen Sveto

Alen Sveto from Croatia.Absolutely the best musician I personally know and also very cool and gentle person.His friendship and guidance, had crucial influence on me.Thanks to his input I was able to grow over role of regular guitar player.Learned from him, how to listen and treat music.How to respect performance.How to develop right attitude that in the end enabled me to truly progress and become multi instrumentalist myself.

Aside being in the band we also worked together with Dutch producer Attie Bouw on making soundtrack for the Irish Movie, Crush Proof.Shown in 1998 I believe on Venezia film festival.That experience defined my future choices as I have witnessed first hand, how cool is to be able to make recordings at your own home.

Alen was always not too keen on having much talk, but lots of music action instead.Play and play and play.And if not, then listen and listen and listen. And in a meantime take some rest by playing snooker. :) He played on and co wrote some 70-80 percent of all Ugochill materials.Playing bass, guitars, singing.Arranging, advising. Crucial role.

Later he went back to Croatia where he has successful musician career and lovely family.He proved beyond any doubt what we already knew.That he is Top Class.

In 2015. he released his debut solo album, All That. Mix of funk, jazz, fusion.Accompanied with high class musicianship of his and his guests and friends on the album.

TrinityRoy

TrinityRoy from Amsterdam.Probably the most interesting person I know.Artist, singer, poet, sharp thinker, entertainer, community organiser...His energy and passion for music, life, discovery is unparalleled in my life experience.Always ready to work on music, video, philosophy, you name it.

With him was complete package.And much talk and much action.:) His willingness to always try things out, his friendship and critical mind guidance were also crucial for my own and Ugochill music development. Together we also recorded, and co wrote whole bunch off tracks. Some as an band, some for Ugochill

and we also made together two solo TrinityRoy EP's that were released.

Dear Alen and TrinityRoy.

Not for a moment have I ever overlooked your love and passion, input or betrayed your trust.Took great care to have this properly kept, available and documented so it can serve as evidence and reminder of our friendship and creativity.Good times that we had. Circumstances of life brought us together.Circumstances of life took us apart.But from the day nr1. we were and remained friends.

And who knows perhaps we find in the future few more tracks hidden up our sleeves. Thank You for everything. And as The Beatles song goes.. In my life..I love you more..
