Rabbit Holes within Rabbit Holes
So I did an initial post (more to follow) based on books I have read from my young days ... and as a result my kindle is filling up, the latest being Magician - Raymond E Feist as recommended by @galenkp and my credit card is sagging under the weight of transactions...
BUT I digress... from the reading rabbit hole I fell into the music rabbit hole of my youth, the period I covered as regards reading and went in search of a couple of numbers that were so vivid in my recollection ....
Melanie - Candes in the Rain
We were so close there was no room
We bled inside each other's wounds
We all had caught the same disease
And we all sang the songs of peace
Some came to sing, some came to pray
Some came to keep the dark away
So raise candles high 'cause if you don't
We could stay black against the sky
How is that rapturous expression on young Melanie's face? Knocks my socks off; despite this number not being exactly my favorite Melanie number {thinks..."do not go there"}, and the strait laced audience dressed to the nines. Classic. For anybody who does not know her music , her most popular or well known song is "Brand New Key" and "look What They Did to my Song Ma"
Another tune which started playing in my head while I was writing about Lobsang Rampa and company is a really pleasant diddy by a one hit wonder artist named Oliver .... give it a listen.
Good Morning Starshine - Oliver
Good memories ....
As all who know me over the years...another 'no value add' post, it is just ..... wait for it @edje ...PIFFLE !!!
Thanks for reading and hopefully listening, and stay safe and stay home ...don't wander down to the yacht basin {friendly wave to @frot}
