Album Talk: Macklemore's Gemini
As you already know, Wednesday is for music. Most especially, album talk.
This week, we are taking a look at Macklemore's latest album, Gemini.
I've known Macklemore for years now, and he mostly collaborates with his partner, Ryan Lewis. But on Gemini, it was just him with a host of features.
I have always enjoyed Macklemore's style of rap, which I understand clearly and he delivered more of that on Gemini.
The first single released of Gemini was Glorious ft. Skylar Grey and I fell in love with it at first hear. Just beautiful.
Then he released Marmalade ft. Lil Yatchy, a very nice song too with a catchy tune.
And when the album finally came out, boy he didn't disappoint.
There were a lot of great songs on the album, and overall, it's a solid body of work.
I really can't come to choose a favorite song because every time I listen to the album again, I always find a new song I'm hooked on. But for now it's Good Old Days ft. Kesha.
The album was given favorable reviews by critics and holds a score of 63/100 on Metacritic.
On the charts, it has peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200, and reaching number one on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
I highly recommend this album for music lovers
Have to listen it on spotify... Nice writing...
