Saleum-Fingerstyle Guitar(Reintepretation) by Me
Saleum is one of the songs from Aceh Province, Indonesia. The province is located on the tip of Sumatra island and has a diverse range of values and culture.
Saleum in English means Greet, that is where when someone meets with other people then they will convey his greetings, and this is one of the culture of the people of Aceh are very closely guarded and inherited in terms of glorifying guests who visit a region or their village.
I try to reintepretation this song with my Guitar as well as some extra cords or tones, to creating a new tone from the original song, I'm glad you liked it.
But what puzzled me was when the 2004 Tsunami struck almost all of the southeast Asian states including Srilangka, Thailand, India, the Maldives. Even those with the greatest damage and casualties are in the province of Aceh, Indonesia.
Regional and even national TV media as if using music from this song as backsound on their news broadcasts. Do you think the music of this song suggests sadness or disaster??
Or is it suitable to be used as a backsound for disaster news??
Maybe we can judge with our hearts each.

Thank you @teukurobbybinor really nice melody. I was here in Thailand during the Tsunami and the melody to me has a filmmaker fits the tsunami. If I have to use a melody like this I will use it just after the wave, using a life happy music before a very powerful music during the wave, with distortion and echo, screaming guitars and your melody for the after when we see the disaster. But really nice melody and nice Harmonics. Thanks for sharing
