This Day in Rock and Metal History - 30th of December

On December 30, 1956, Joe Hasselvander, the drummer of Raven was born. Raven is a British heavy metal band that is considered one of the bands associated with the NWoBHM movement. Joe joined the band as the drummer in 1987 which was associated with a heavier tune from the band in the late 80s and 90s of the past century. Before joining Raven, Joe was the drummer of Pentagram, a well known doom metal band.

"Into the jaws of death" is one the greatest song from Raven's "Nothing exceeds like excess" album.
