This Day In Rock and Metal History - 25th of December
On December 25, 1972, Noel Hogan, "The Cranberries" guitarist was born in Ireland. The Cranberries are a rock band that was formed in Ireland in 1989 and then rose to international recognition in the 1990s with their album "Everybody else is doing it so why can't we". 4 of the band's albums were featured on Billboard's 200 album charts.
Although disbanded in 2004, the Cranberries reunited in 2010 and began a tour in North America, before releasing the band's 6th album "Roses" in May, 2011.
"Zombie" is one of the most famous tracks from "The Cranberries".
