As a musician, i am spending a lot of time discovering fresh music. Pop music, EDM scene is booming with huge sounds, often highly compressed, so i thought it would be nice to begin with some live music bands, who brings something fresh to our ears.

For my first selection, i chose to dive into UK jazz scene. 12 years ago i found really interesting punk Jazz band Acoustic Ladyland. For me, as a musician it was really inspiring, how they blended jazz and punk music together. A lot of music comes and goes nowadays, but this band sounds fresh even after 14 years, since they have released their first album "Camoulflage" (Babel, 2004).

In 2011 the band changed its name to Silver Birch. In 2012 leader of the band, saxophonist Pete Wareham founded a band called Melt Yourself Down. In 2013 they were signed with The Leaf Label and released debut album.

UK Jazz scene is full of interesting and fresh sounding stuff. I recommend to dive into The Leaf Label releases. Couple more bands worth to mention:
