It was released as the lead single from their debut album of the same name, which was also released on August 8, 1988. I first heard the song "Straight Outta Compton" in the movie of the same name released in 2015. I liked both the movie and the song, and after the movie was released, I heard the song in many places and listened to it many times. I can't say it's one of my favorite songs, but it's a nice and very cool song. It's a song that was banned on many radio stations in the 1980s, but it still remains one of the best hip hop songs today. Both its production and the band's performance are quite good.
