First youtube live stream

in #music7 years ago (edited)

We might be moving towards a cashless society. What does this mean for street performers?

I remember a time when if someone had stopped to watch you busking and they reached into their pocket, it was for a coin to show their appreciation. These days most people reach for their phone to TAKE a picture or video rather than GIVE a tip so that they can show their friends or share it online, sometimes for their own gain.

It is in this emerging environment that in looking to youtube and twitch.tv for a better platform to do my performances and make a living. There might only be a few people watching on the street but many more watching online. This may be the future of street performance.

This is my first attempt at streaming with high quality audio and video. I only had the sound die once! It can only improve from here. Hoping to have a more interactive stream once I get the hang of it.

Until next time,

Pipe Guy <3
