This song from "Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves" stayed on top for 16 weeks. This is an incredible success. And the film with Kevin Kestner in the role of Robin hood turned out great, it is very popular so far. This is one of the first films of world cinema, which almost immediately saw in Russia, (then still living out the last days of the USSR) – everything was already possible, censorship quietly dissolved in the air – well, just was and kept everyone for intimate places – and here it is not, as it was not... Dreamed? Ay, fans of the USSR – missed the valuable instructions – what you can watch and what not? Lonely and scary in this big harsh world, where you have to decide – you watch this movie or not? No, the CPSU will not come again and will not protect from the corrupting influence of the West, East, North and South…

This song was written specifically for Kevin Kestner's film "Robin hood: Prince of thieves". The main part of the song was written by the famous composer Michael Kamen. Brian Adams also finalized the song and made the arrangement.
When the song was finished, the Hollywood producers didn't want it. They wanted it to sound completely different, according to the era that was shown in the film. I. e. in an arrangement there had to be lutes, mandolins and so forth. In the end, the song took, but did not dare to insert it into the main story and only put in the end of the movie for the credits. That was great! I remember their delight at this ending of the film…

Brian Adams (canadian Nightingale) – still performs this song at concerts, but over the years it has acquired a slightly different sound than it was in the beginning, and I do not like it. I offer you a concert performance of 1996, in the old version.
