MUSICAL CALENDAR September 2, 1930 Soviet composer Andrey Petrov was born
The composer was undoubtedly talented, and he has something to be proud of, and we have something to remember. Unfortunately, as often happens-all that he did really worthy-was in his youth, and then – as usual-the chief here, the chief here, the checked representative of the power from the creative intelligentsia. Oh, he would have concentrated on what he did – on popular music and music for movies, but ... in St. Petersburg, he gradually took all the more or less prominent positions in music and I can not imagine – how he managed everything. Or maybe-just came once a month for a salary – it somehow explains his huge employment.
What do I remember about him, personally? First, the music for the films "amphibian Man"and" Beware of the car." Also-perfectly made music for the films "I walk through Moscow", " the Way to the pier." Then-music for films by Braginsky and Danelia. Pretty good, other official composers of luck it will be typed much less.
