Song of the day! #2

Todays song of the day is: Rollin' by ROCKS FOE and heres why...

ROCKS FOE has been an artist I have been following for some time now. I was first drawn to him as he was a recommended up and coming Grime artist, however with his latest record, he branches out into a more experimental hiphop sound.

The Croydon native has been producing since he was 15 years old, swiftly developed his versatile style and is now signed to up and coming Bristolian indie label Black Acre. To this day he produces all of his own beats which makes me respect him that much more. A lot of rappers now can't make their own beats, therefore it sounds like they are just simply rapping on a beat - Rocks Foe makes the beats sound like they are built around the lyrics. A combination of brilliant beats and lyrical ability makes him one of my favourite rappers

The way this song switches up half way through is so well done - Rocks Foe keeps the flow perfectly with one of the nicest vocals in the background. Even the messing around at the end just proves he can do what he wants and it'll still sound good!
