The Self Employed Musician - Spreading the Music
Pics and ponderings from my music school in SoCal
You can't see it here, but I was really tired in this pic. We just got a shipment of band instruments in and had to inventory them. This spot now is going to be changed this year as we are building new studios.
Passing the Music Along
It's a lot of work being a self employed musician-a lot. But, I wouldn't have it any other way. I realize that whether I am teaching or playing, I am passing music along to the next generation-and that feels good.
Here are some shots of our students:

Building a Team
When you build up a working band(group), or a music school, there are only so many hours in a day. There comes a time to multiply yourself, which equals more productivity and that will help you earn more.
I've been very blessed to have a great staff who love our students and thoroughly enjoy spreading the love of music.
The Results
Seeing a performance of a student, or someone who was influenced by you is such an amazing feeling. I would say it comes pretty close to playing live yourself. Your students will then sing your praises too. You, in turn, will
get more people for lessons, and more people to your gigs. All the more reason to spread the music.😊
Thanks everyone!!
