BTS #1 Anpanman : an underestimate superhero character (the hidden message from the new song of BTS)
It is Saturday night guys. A refreshing day is coming tomorrow. Listening to the music is always such a fun thing to do in the weekend. But don’t forget to pray and read the holy Qur’an too for the Moslem. It’s Ramadhan Kareem anyway.
BTS is a group of Korean Boy band that has 7 members. BTS stand for “Beyond The Scene”, but they famous with name Bangtan Boys. They actually relatively young compare to me. It’s an honour to stand them from the very beginning. I start to be an ARMY (Adorable Representative M.C for youth, name of their fanclub) from the “No More Dreams” era. Back then they such a baby and cuties. They debuted in a very young age in 2013.
They start their career under a small company in Korea, which is hard to be famous without a help and support from the big companies. But they prove everybody will success if they enjoy and love what they do. They are really hard worker boys who give their best at everything they do. They love each other as a team. The friendship and brotherhood (even though they are not relatives) between the members give us a lesson that if you want to go far just go together.
As a hardcore fan of them, I follow their activity and watch them daily. They are very funny, goofy, and smart at the same time. They are the first Korean group that was performing on the Billboard Music Award. Their song is always on the top of the list not only in Korea but also in the World. Lately they won Top Social Artist Award at the Billboard Music Award two times in a row, in 2017 and 2018.
How interesting to see how much they growing from debuted era till now. Maybe you guys wondering why I love Korean song even I can’t understand what they said. Its 2018 guys, everyone can googling the translated lyrics to understand the lyrics. BTS has many songs that have a deep meaning behind the fun and catchy melody of their song. That’s why I want to write about that and share it to all the steemian.
Their latest song with the title Anpanman in Love Yourself tear album, catch my ear to listen and getting addicted to it. It has a bright vibe melody that will lighten up our day. The choreography of their dance for this song is so lit. But what makes me really love this song is because the meaning within this song. Actually Anpanman is a superhero character from an anime cartoon in Japan. It’s a famous cartoon for children in Japan. Anpanman, a superhero made of anpan (a sweet roll with jam bean filling) together with his friend fight against the villain called Baikinman and helps the malnourished children. Anpanman helps the hungry and hurt kids with his head (he rips off part of his head and gives it to them). In return, Anpanman becomes weak and has to return back to the bakery shop for a new head.
The concept of the cartoon is giving so much of yourself even when you have nothing else left. The effort of making people smile, even if you are really hollow inside and get to hurt yourself. Because the character has a weak point (doesn’t like other superheroes such as batman or superman) and the concept when he is helping kids is little ridiculous, people always say that Anpanman is not a real hero.
BTS bring this message to their song. Even when we are not superheroes we always still an Anpanman to our closest family and friend. A mother that sacrifices herself to delivering us to this world is our real superhero eventhough she is not acknowledge by other people. A father that gives his best to giving a comfortable life to their child with all the effort he makes is a real superhero too.
A fireman that work hard to set off fire, a garbage man that keeps the environment clean, a driver that will make sure you get safe to your destination (etc) are a superheroes too. Even you play small role in life you always can do a good thing to other people. A little smile, act and comfort words can really give hope to other people like Anpanman did.
