Composing Hip Hop Beats With Instrumentals # 19 - Realm Of 4 Kingdoms ( FREE DOWNLOAD)
Why did I name this Instrumental Realm Of 4 Kingdoms you may ask? Well, part of the title has to do with the 4 Seasons which includes, Summer, Fall, Winter, & Spring. I named this beat Realm Of 4 Kingdoms because in my mind, this instrumental is describing the 4 realms to each of these Kingdoms in different dimension. There's a realm where there's only Summer and the world in this Realm, it's only Summer weather all the time. The next Realm is Fall, where there's a world where all the trees has fall colors. The next realm is Winter, where the people in this world only experience nothing but the cold but since they only know nothing but cold, they have adapted to their environment and last but not least is Spring. There's a realm where everything seems to bloom and stays blooming.
In these realms lies the 4 Gods that looks after these worlds and to make sure that everything is balanced! The 4 Kingdoms are located in the 4 directional quadrants, North, South, East & West. I can continue on with the story but this is the instrumental beat that describes these Realms of 4 Kingdoms. I feel like this is the theme instrumental to such an amazing story concept that is within my consciousness. I believe it to be real because whatever you can imagine, it has to exist somewhere in a parallel Universe or dimensional space because we live in a Multi-verse of Infinite possibilities where all realities you can imagine exist.
For this instrumental hip hop beat, I started off with the Acoustic Grand Piano 1 in the Sample Tank VSTi. As you can see in the above image, is the main pattern to the main melody of the beat.
After I laid down the foundation piano sound to get the instrumental music going, I then started to work on the drums for the beat. I like to keep my drum patterns simple because it allows the melody to flourish. Some of my beats have simple drum works and some have complicated drum patterns with a lot of break downs. It all depends on the type of vibe that I'm getting off the beat. Make sure to listen to what your instrumental music is telling you when you are creating it because music speaks to us and if you can't hear your own music that you are creating then you're going to have a tough time bonding with your own creation in my opinion.
After the main melody and the drums were added, I added about 3 different sets of Strings to make the instrumental dramatic & to give it that triumph vibe because we are describing Kingdoms here. The 1st strings that I added were the SQ Strings out of the VSTi plugin purity to add to the cinematic vibe of the track. I think these strings did the instrumental justice! This sound is also one of my favorite sounds to use when creating an instrumental beat. I just like how cinematic it sounds. If you're keeping up with my post then you should know by now that I love cinematic type of sounds that make an instrumental sound theatrical.
The 2nd set of strings are these Spiccato Strings that made the beat even more triumphal. As you can see the pattern above, I had to detail these strings by laying certain notes on top of each other. These strings come in at the 12 second mark when the beat builds up and gets more triumphal before going back to it's calmness after 4 bars.
The 3rd set of strings were the Comp Violins Section found in the SAMPLE TANK VSTi plugin. These strings come in at 18 seconds towards the ending of the build up in the track. I hope you can hear these strings, can you?
You know I couldn't forget about the world famous SUB BASS from the VSTi plugin Hypersonic. It's not really world famous, I just said that because I'm always using this sub bass for most of my instrumental hip hop music beats or in other genres of instrumentals that I create. This bass line is basically going along with the melody of the beat, can you hear it? This bass is what gives the instrumental beat it's bump, very hard to miss if you have some good headphones or speakers in general.
The next sound that I added to the instrumental track were these Winter MusicBox sound found in the Purity VSTi. This sound was layered on top of the main piano melody to make the track sound more fuller. As you can see, it's the same pattern as the grand pianos. This sound match perfectly to the theme of the instrumental music.
The 1st sound of the 2 synths that I added were these CHEEP LEAD sound, also found in the VSTi purity. This sounds starts to come in and play it's role at the 11 second mark of the instrumental hip hop beat. Once you hear this, then you will repeatedly hear it through out the track. You can't miss this sound at the 11 secound mark, is like weeeeee woooo weeeee woooo waaaa weeeeeeee lol. You just have to listen to it to know what I'm talking about.
The last sound that I incorporated into this instrumental was a sound called FAT Draken 2 out of the VSTi purity. This is the last of 2 synth sounds that that you're going to hear in the beat. This is the main synth sound that you will hear at 24 second mark in the hip hop rap beat, You can't miss it. This sound comes in right after the 8th bar going into the 9th bar with the other supporting sounds that creates the instrumental hip hop rap music beat!
Below is the finished version of the instrumental and it is for free download. If you really like these instrumentals that I am posting, please feel free to leave a comment below, all feedbacks are appreciated, including negative ones as well. Thank You.
