After several years finally we hear about him, probably one of most iconic, if not the Icon itself, of East Coast Hip Hop.
I'm talking about JAY-Z and this beautiful Video accompanying a fresh but Old School sounding track with some serious verse about race and listing also some of his controversial investement in it (Tidal)
"Y’all think it’s bougie, I’m like, it’s fine
But I’m tryin’ to give you a million dollars worth of game for $9.99"
The video is what caught my attention (not talking about the already platinum album 4:44) just give it a look and understand how deep this is.
I predict grammy!
This song is absolutely amazing off the 4:44 album. Jay Z makes me feel like I need to ZONE IN every time he raps, haha. Conscious rappers still alive..
I feel exactly the same way... Also Nina Simone Four Women is such a brilliant sampling for the tracks simbolism
