Guitar care and transport.

Today we are dealing with a useful topic for when we transport our faithful guitar away from home.
Let's see some tips:

It is advisable to always keep the guitar in its case when it is not in use, and you should also keep a small moisture absorbing bag inside the case, such as those from Silica Gel.
Whenever you finish playing, wipe the strings with a dry cloth: you will eliminate all the dirt, sweat and damp and the strings will last longer. If desired, you can pass a special lubricating pad such as the Fast Freet.

It is also a good idea to rub the body of the guitar and the handle, including metal parts, so as to preserve them from oxidation. Remember that the salinity of sweat affects the components.

Cleaning and polishing:

For cleaning and polishing there are specific (expensive) products on the market but also cheap domestic products that work equally well. It is advisable to use creamy and non-spray products, as the spray of these may penetrate pick-ups or mechanics, damaging them.
Recommended products for polishing the body are those with a neutral base for wood or Carnauba wax.
Do not use aggressive products such as alcohol or various degreasers, as they could damage the paint.

Put the guitar away:

The ideal temperature is between 20 ° and 21 ° C, but in reality it is more important to avoid sudden temperature and hygrometric excursions.
Never leave a guitar near heat sources or worse in a damp closet.
Even at home, in winter, it is better to use special humidifiers to hang from the radiator to prevent the air from being too dry.

During normal use, the guitar should be kept in perfect pitch, so that the string tension is even and if you have to store it for a long time, loosen all the strings in order to lighten the tension on the handle. Not too much, otherwise you get the opposite for the truss-rod that works inside the handle.

Traveling with the guitar:

If you have to travel by plane and you don't have the possibility to bring your guitar with you in the cabin, take a flight case: it's the only way to guarantee your instrument's safety. In cars or trains, the precautions to be taken are slightly variable, but it is always better to prefer such a case, a hard case instead of the soft padded one. Always lay it down so that it can never fall.

Cura e trasporto della chitarra.

Oggi trattiamo un argomento utile per quando trasportiamo fuori casa la nostra fedele chitarra.
Vediamo alcuni consigli:

E' raccomandabile tenere la chitarra sempre nella sua custodia quando non viene usata, consigli anche ti tenere all'interno della custodia una piccola bustina assorbi umidità, tipo quelle della Silica Gel.
Ogni qualvolta finite di suonare, passate un panno asciutto sulle corde: eliminerete tutto lo sporco, il sudore e l'umido e le corde dureranno più a lungo. Volendo, si può passare un apposito tampone lubrificante tipo il Fast Freet.

E' un buon accorgimento anche quello di strofinare il corpo della chitarra ed il manico,parti metalliche comprese, così da preservarle dall'ossidazione. Ricordate che la salinità del sudore intacca i componenti.

Pulitura e lucidatura:

Per la pulitura e lucidatura esistono in commercio prodotti specifici (costosi) ma anche prodotti domestici economici che funzionano altrettanto bene. E' consigliabile l'utilizzo di prodotti cremosi e non spray, dato che lo spruzzo di questi potrebbe penetrare nei pick-up o nelle meccaniche,danneggiandole.
Prodotti consigliabili per la lucidatura del corpo sono quelli a base neutra per legno oppure cera di Carnauba.
Non utilizzate prodotti aggressivi tipo Alcool o sgrassanti vari, in quanto potrebbero danneggiare la verniciatura.

Riporre la chitarra:

La temperatura ideale è tra i 20° e i 21° C, ma in realtà è più importante evitare escursioni termiche e igrometriche improvvise.
Non lasciate mai una chitarra vicino a fonti di calore o peggio in un ripostiglio umido.
Anche in casa, in inverno, è meglio dotarsi di appositi umidificatori da appendere al termosifone per evitare che l'aria sia troppo secca.

Durante il normale utilizzo, la chitarra va mantenuta sull'intonazione perfetta, in modo che la tensione delle corde sia uniforme e se la dovete riporre per un lungo periodo, allentate tutte le corde in modo da alleggerire la tensione sul manico. Non troppo, altrimenti si ottiene l'opposto per il truss-rod che lavora all'interno del manico.

In viaggio con la chitarra:

Se dovete viaggiare in aereo e non avete la possibilità di portare con voi la chitarra in cabina, munitevi di un astuccio da volo: è l'unico modo per garantire l'incolumità al vostro strumento. In auto o treno, gli accorgimenti da prendere sono leggermente variabili, ma è sempre meglio preferire un questi casi, una custodia rigida al posto di quella morbida imbottita. Posatela sempre distesa, in modo che non possa mai cadere.
