Fundraiser Post 4 for the Musician’s Guide to Steemit - We Hired Our First 4 People

We’re now 38% of the way towards our total fundraising goal.

Furthermore, we’ve already raised enough money to get started - so I’ve hired the first four people for our team of freelancers who will help us to create this book. By tapping into the power of the Steem ecosystem, we can get pro-quality graphics, book layout, writing, and much more.

The New Fundraiser Progress Bar Is Awesome

First off, huge shoutout to @overkillcoin for designing the new fundraiser status bar. The old one was terrible, we will never speak of it again lol. Now we have this awesome new graphic, the first of many great graphics to come surrounding this projecs.

Quick Reminder of The Next Step for The Guide

In case you are reconnecting with the project after a few weeks off, here’s an update:

We are starting this project with a “test round” of creating a small, alpha-version eBook. It’s going to be an adaptation of the 5th chapter from the full book: “From Good to Great, or How to Go From 100 to 1,000 Followers on Steemit”

By creating a miniature eBook as a test project, we will make sure everything works out and we will discover any potential bottlenecks or obstacles before we dive into the full project. Also this is a good chance to test out different people in different roles to see who does a great job.

The First Round of Hires for the Musician’s Guide

Here is the first round of freelancers hired as a result of last week’s Steem Gig threads.

First off, we have @thegalavantgirl acting as editor for the alpha eBook. She’s worked on a lot of other articles and editing projects and will be a valuable asset for us in getting the book to read well.

Secondly, we have @granturismo89 who will be the book layout designer for this project. He’s already working on some potential designs and we will have updates to share soon.

Thirdly, @fivefiveeleven is designing a logo for the musician’s guide and we are already making great progress there! The logo is going to rule.

Fourthly, @kryptik will soon be taking up the mantle as the Community Liaison for this project. He’s going to help maintain the best relationship with the communiy as we gear up and start moving fast on the book.
