Elpi5 - Happy to announce I'm working on my next EP!

in #music8 years ago

The 'Elpi5' name really started as an extremely low priority side project to work on music that I wanted to make. When I started producing and teaching for a living, my life became very saturated with music work (which is great, don't get me wrong!) but I found my ears tired by the end of the day. Making music recreationally became less of a priority. So whatever it was that I was going to work on, had to be very in line with my personality and what I like to hear naturally.

I quickly fell into this chiptune/EDM hybrid sound. It's always been very low stress and easy for me to make. It comes naturally, and at the end of the day, I think that's what an individual should look for in their sound.

With that said, I'm very excited to announce that it looks like my second release is starting to take shape. It started out as a couple tracks here and there - just casually - but now that I'm listening to them side by side, it's starting to sound like a collective.

Anyways, along with this announcement, as always you can download any of my music at a 'pay what you want' rate (yes, that includes free), so feel free to download on my bandcamp.

And finally, I want to ask - do any of my fellow artists have any advice on releasing music on Steemit? Has anyone done it successfully? I'm open to the idea but as of right now I have no idea what that format would look like. But I have to say, I'd be interested to know if that may be a cool option! Let me know in the comments.

Thanks folks!

html works with markdown. A song that i like.

Brilliant, can drop in soundcloud tracks to

GJ. I suggest using Soundcloud as well as b.c. You can also use automation software to distribute your posts on other platforms. Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit and most importantly Youtube still work. Post on steemit and get the post on all platforms.

You may also want to register with a distribution website to distribute music on shops. The distribution is important, because most djs use Beatport as the source of their music. It doesn't cost you a thing to sign a contract with a distributor and it can potentially bring you extra money as well as publicity.

I'm afraid music might be very hard to promote on social media. The way I see it, problem is because the internet is flooded with sounds. There's just so much stuff and there's plenty of sell outs and evil corporations don't help.
