Grapthar's Song of the Day: Telephone Jim Jesus 'N=1 Trial'
Telephone Jim Jesus - N=1 Trial
Telephone Jim Jesus is the moniker
of hiphop producer/musician George Chadwick, from Oakland California. He became well-known amongst the underground hiphop world in the early '00s, and was one of the artists on the label "Anticon", which released lots of strange, avant-garde, experimental hip hop stuff. If you have never checked out any of their artists, go search Anticon on Youtube and listen to some of the artists. They were doing amazing, original stuff YEARS ago, and inspired tons of other underground artists.
Listen to N=1 Trial here.
This song is from Chadwick's
2004 album, A Point Too Far Astronaut, which is an INCREDIBLE album. I was introduced to it my freshman year of college, and was blown away. I had never really listened to instrumental hiphop, and this guy was incorporating all sorts of crazy electronic music ideas into his productions. I still consider this album one of my favorite hiphop albums of all time, despite the fact that there are almost no lyrics on it at all.
Hope you enjoy the song! Thanks for checking out my blog!!
