Exploring the many flavors that sound good over an A minor triad.
I've been working on trying to combine different scales when playing lead. The backing track in this video is mostly a sustained A minor triad played by a horn ensemble. Here's how my lead progression went: A minor pentatonic, A natural minor, A minor blues, A harmonic minor and then finishing up with the E minor pentatonic scale.
Sounds harmoniously with the backing track. Keep up the good work @franciscush.
Thanks veejay. I appreciate the supportive comment. Have a great day :)
your great, just find someone like this, followed you
Thank you
Sounding shreddy!
Might I suggest some further colours could be the A melodic minor scale, A dorian/C lydian, A phrygian, and A locrian modes and A half-whole diminished (yummy!)
What setup are you running through?
Yes, definitely. I want to start making use of those scales as well. But I wanted to keep it short and simple for this first one. My guitar is setup straight into an apogee duet then into a macbook pro. I'm recording with logic pro and using NI's guitar rig software for my tone. And I have some other virtual instruments from NI that I used to make the backing track. Thanks for asking. Have a great day. Cheers :)
I really enjoyed your sound. I am also a musician. I just upvoted this post and followed you, keep it up man.

Where words fail, music speaks.
Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.
