At the time I was considering Rumi's challenge, I was standing in the copy room of a big law firm in Chicago... under-using my potential as a legal secretary.
NO disrespect intended toward legal secretaries! I know very well who is holding that firm together! lol. But I was just nowhere near my ultimate destiny, y'know? Nothing is wasted, anyway. Awful times eventually make great compost.
Well, I determined in that off (to me) place, doing off (for me) things, that I would be its soul! hahaha
My point is, we can -- and should -- bring the sublime with us, wherever we go.

They hauled/helicoptered all their equipment to the top of a castle ruin in France... to play an incredible set, that is best heard with headphones. 🎧

Just because crazy, broke, soulless schools choose to cut music as soon as money is tight... don't you have that same mistaken belief, friend... that music is optional. It is quite imperative to a balanced life.

Freedom is Knowing Where You Live. Most People on Earth don't even Know where They Live. They have Been TOLD this is where you Live but they don't know what our Earth Looks Like. They have been FED a Spinning Globe since Elementary School. What if the Earth is Silent and Still ?? What if There is No Such thing as Space and that it is Just a Created Fantasy by Hollywood ?? I am different than most People because I, Like You, don't necessarily Fit In to what most people would call Normal Society. I can Feel a Dramatic Change Coming in the Way People perceive what they Believe is Their World.

I looked into flat earth theory, and found -- perhaps more than any other theory -- it did/does challenge my most anchored convictions. My resistance wants to call it absurd... which signals to me a lack of intellectual neutrality/openness on my part. How many other things do we now take for granted, that were once considered absurd or impossible (e.g. humans in flight, a mile run in under 4 minutes, 3D printing, etc.).
When I think of how enormous a paradigm shift it would be... if I'd have to make room inside me for the truth of a flat earth... I do imagine a cognitive collapse! How did you avoid that? :-)
I've seen smart people get foamy at the mouth about BOTH OPPOSING VIEWS. Each rabidly certain of their correctness. The heightened passion alone grew my curiosity that much more, lol. Do you have a source you recommend people start with... if they wanted to find out where they lived?

I just heard about the Earth not Being This Spinning Ball about Five Years Ago and for some reason it just made sense to me. I Like thinking that Our Creator Can View his Creation all at once from above us. I feel like God Created the Earth and to keep it to the lowest common denominator why not make it Stationary and Have the Lights in the Sky (Sun and Moon) Circuit over The Earth. Did The Chinese know about this Circuit so They Showed Us with the Yin and Yang Symbol ?? Sun and Moon Circling above the Earth ??
We Also Know the Sky is Blue and in Genesis When God Was Creating he Separated the Waters Above (the sky) from the Waters Below (the oceans). That made sense to me........
I am OK even if I never know in this Life what the Earth looks like in its entirety I am just Glad I am not Spinning Aimlessly into a Fantasy Space Universe that was Created through Hollywood imagination.......
