📽 TOUR MOVIE: Seine --> Banja Luka, Tomislavgrad, Dubrovnik // Fargo, Game of Trones, #horsingaround 📽

in #music7 years ago

Hey steemians, what's up?
Recently I'm not able to post as much, due to a lot of work, and the overall chaos that's surrounding my being.
But, I guess, that too will pass at some point. When I grow up... Some day...
;)
Two weeks ago, my band Seine went on a small 4 day tour through Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.

First we went to Banja Luka.
The city where we played and won the biggest regional festival for demo bands and that way funded our album.
Afterwards we went to a small place in Herzegovina called Tomislav Grad where we had one of the craziest after-parties ever. And the tour was finished in a beautiful theater in Dubrovnik (Yes, it's the city where Game of Thrones is shot.)

It was great, and we were accompanied by our friend and artist Denis Katanec who is one of the most intriguing and amazing singer-songwriters of our generation, so the whole tour was absolutely crazy and awesome.

Our @marinauzelac made a short movie about our tour combining different clips from our trip.

She also wrote two amazing posts about it!!!
May she live forever!

To explain the horses and stuff:

The first scene is set somewhere around Bosnia where we stumbled upon some sheep and horses in the middle of the road. They were just, #horsingaround, but they were kind enough to let us pass without any problems.
The gig in Banja Luka was in a very small place with not much people, but the overall atmosphere was nice.

Afterwards we continued through the Vrbas canyon going through mountains and mountains and changing the scenery completely from mystic green to Fargo white - just to arrive to Tomislav Grad.

Which is an isolated place with completely crazy and lovely people that love to party.
One of the guys from there preferred to sit in front of the drums (and hold them) during our performance, while other were listening and preparing for the aftermath of the show.
(you can just see the little snippet of the after-party on 2:49 - and it can't be explained differently other than that it was like that THE WHOLE NIGHT until 6AM in the morning). So, Tomislav Grad, checked!

After our morning aerobics training we packed our stuff and continued our attack towards Dubrovnik (or as most of you know it - King's Landing)!
But to get there we had to pass through The Mountains of Horror and Gore - they're not called like that, but should be.
We took a strange route, and at some point we were ascending towards the clouds, and suddenly we were there.. In the clouds, in the middle of nowhere...
But after some time we managed to pass them through and arrive to Dubrovnik.

Yes, it's the old city where almost all of the King's Landing scenes were recorded in the Game of Thrones. But the whole city is amazing with it's history and architecture from between 13th and 16th century. Seriously, amazing stuff.

(my bassplayer @grobens wrote about it more in detail here --> https://steemit.com/photo/@grobens/old-city-of-dubrovnik-concert-and-roadtrip)

We played in an old theater, and we were probably the loudest thing that happened there since ever.
That was our last show, and it was awesome.
That concluded our trip, and all that was left was to safely return home through the blizzard and snow (for 9 hours) and sleep on it.

Hope you enjoyed this clip.
