On March 16, 2018, Snoop Dogg released 'Bible of love' a gospel album that blew up the charts.
The multi tracked album featured, so many gospel heavyweights like Fred Hammond, The Clark Sisters, Mary Mary, Kim Burrell, Tye Tribbett etc.
When questioned about this unanticipated switch which many minds like mine would never have conceived in a thousand years, given the antecedents of his career - being one of those artistes who took raunchiness to a whole new level in music videos - Snoop said stuff about being washed by the blood, saved by the Lord, living above our judgements, and other middle-finger statements for naysayers.

I could believe an R. Kelly gospel joint, despite his controversies.
But Snoop? Snoop really? I see snoop and the first thing that comes to mind is an unrivalled PIMP, Top notch gangsta.
Just like when he changed his name to Snoop Lion, so it's either this move is another stunt or maybe we should blame it on ‘Maryjane’.
While I wait to read your opinions, 'Brother Snoop' is already in the fold. So y'all better give Jesus a wiper as he takes the stage for a special number!
